When the Vanguard was introduced, Pearson said, "This Phil Rhodes design is a true yacht in the finest sense of the word--graceful lines, traditional sheer, engineered fittings, comfortable appointments and performance to match"; Lady's Slipper is a nice example of what has developed almost a cult following over the years.
Note repowered with 25 hp Volvo diesel, all sails and rigging including lifelines renewed, updated electronics including Garmin color chartplotter and Robertson autopilot, interior almost totally renewed and updated, recent exterior covers. Also note modified full keel, ample ballast and high displacement ratio make for an excellent Bay sailer. Engine just serviced in June of 2025, last hauled in 2022, standing and running rigging renewed in 2020.
The current owner has had her for 22 years now, the previous owner (a former Commodore of the Sausalito Yacht Club) had for 24 years; both loved her dearly and it SHOWS--for example, the interior has been beautifully refinished (both the brightwork and soft goods) and the contrast between the sea foam green cushions and reddish teak wood is striking.
Note the boat's lying in a potentially transferable downtown Sausalito slip, there's a long wait to get into the marina here so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage...
