1975 Morgan Out Island 33 – “Dream Time”

The vessel Dream Time is a 1975 Morgan Out Island 33 masthead sloop currently located in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The Morgan Out Island 33 is a well-regarded long-keel cruising design known for its solid fiberglass construction, shallow draft, and interior volume relative to length.

This vessel has a documented cruising history and was previously sailed offshore from Maine to South America before relocating to the Caribbean. In more recent years, the vessel has been used for local day sailing and weekend cruising. The hull is solid fiberglass with a long keel configuration and a reported draft of approximately four feet, making it suitable for shallow anchorages and island cruising.

The vessel is powered by a Kubota diesel engine, reported to be in running condition with higher hours. A new three-blade propeller has been installed. Sail inventory includes a roller-furling genoa and a reefable mainsail, both reported to be functional. An autopilot and chart plotter are installed. The electrical system includes solar charging. A watermaker is installed but has not been operated for an extended period; the condition of membranes cannot be confirmed.

Interior accommodations consist of a single-cabin layout with a forward berth, main salon, galley, and enclosed head. The marine head is inoperative and requires repair. Cold plates for the ice chest are not operational. The vessel is equipped with a portable freezer and television.

Additional equipment includes an inflatable tender with chaps, a Tohatsu 9.8 HP outboard engine, two anchors, and davits, which are currently removed and stored inside the cabin. Numerous spare parts and cruising equipment are onboard.

Keel bolts have not been inspected, and no representations are made regarding their condition.
