"Illusion" is a state of the art catamaran built purely for speed. She was originally designed as a 28' Formula with carbon fiber wing mast and bow sprit manufactured by Marstrom. However the boat has gone through some serious performance enhancing modifications. Recently the owner replaced the front beam with a carbon fiber made by Forte Carbon and added foils to the rudders. In 2022 the owner had a whole set of new sails made and new synthetic rigging spliced and assembled. This boat has been owned by a single owner since 1989 and he has taken great care of the boat.
