Overview
This Fairline Targa 34 Mark 1, AMITIE, is a rare example of a model produced for only two years, distinguished by its unique interior layout and classic Fairline styling. This particular boat stands out due to the mechanical refit completed in June 2025 which included major overhaul and rebuild of starboard and port engines with new turbos, both drives removed and inspected, brand new transom shields and a full engine room respray and paint! With a planned lift out in January for winterisation, a new owner can be sure AMITIE is ready for the 2026 summer season, lying and ready to be seatrialed in Lymington UK!
Exterior
This Fairline Targa 34 stands out with her white hull complemented by the signature dark blue Fairline band. The cockpit is designed for relaxed cruising and easy socialising, featuring a manual high–low table that converts into a large sunbed.
The Silvertex cockpit upholstery was renewed four years ago, offering a fresh, modern aesthetic and avoiding the worn or sun-damaged look often seen on Targas of this age. Synthetic teak laid across the bathing platform gives a contemporary and low maintenance finish.
With the blue canvas aft enclosure removed, and the helm canopy panel opened, the boat transforms into an open summer cruiser, delivering a bright cockpit. When needed, the full enclosure provides excellent protection, extending the usability of the boat well into cooler seasons.
Interior
The interior of this Fairline Targa 34 Mark I retains its original layout and materials and still presents clean and bright for its age, with some expected signs of wear consistent with an older model. The saloon features a convertible dinette and the table lowers to create two additional berths when required. The galley features a gas hob, fridge, stainless sink and plenty of storage.
Forward, the master cabin offers a comfortable double berth with storage and closing door for privacy. Amidships, the guest cabin includes twin single berths, a small sofa, and a vanity unit, making it a practical and versatile space for guests or family. The heads compartment is equipped with a full shower enclosure and a sanitising system, sink an electric toilet.
Performance/Tech
AMITIE is powered by twin Volvo Penta KAD 42 diesel engines with 700 hours each. This Targa 34s Manoeuvrability is enhanced significantly with the combination of a bow thruster and Sleipner docking control, making close-quarters handling exceptionally easy. The yacht benefits from a sufficient navigation and electronics setup with Raymarine Quantum radar, a Raymarine Pathfinder chartplotter, Raymarine autopilot, and Autohelm Tridata instrumentation.
