1999 Gibson 50’ Houseboat — Spacious Liveaboard | Project Opportunity | Customize Your Floating Home
Built by Gibson Houseboats, this 1999 Gibson 50’ Houseboat offers the interior volume, straightforward systems, and functional layout that have made Gibson a long-standing favorite among liveaboards and inland cruisers. With fiberglass construction, shallow draft, and generous living space, this vessel is well suited for rivers, canals, and protected coastal waters.
***Important Note on Condition***
This vessel is a work in progress and is being marketed transparently as such. The current owner has begun interior projects, and there are unfinished areas, including open sections in the galley ceiling and a main head (bathroom) that still requires completion. The interior décor is dated and would benefit from a refresh, offering a clear opportunity for a new owner to modernize and finish the space to their own preferences.
Additionally, there are soft spots present on the upper deck that will need attention. These areas represent a known repair item and should be evaluated and addressed by a buyer who is either DIY-savvy or prepared to invest in professional repairs.
This is not a turnkey houseboat, but rather a solid platform with significant space and potential for customization. A new owner may choose to continue the work already underway or take over the project and redesign the interior and exterior areas entirely.
The vessel is currently unnamed, allowing the next owner to personalize her from day one.
