The Grand Banks Eastbay series, designed by C. Raymond Hunt, is known for its excellent sailing characteristics and comfort. The Compass Rose is a beautiful example of this. The EX version allows for fully open sailing, but also sheltered under the soft top.
Highlights of the Compass Rose include:

In the cockpit, you will find a cozy seating area with renewed equipment, bow and stern thrusters. Below deck is the kitchen, equipped with a 3-burner Princess gas stove, Sharp microwave, Princess oven, and Waeco refrigerator. Opposite the kitchen is a comfortable seating area with a dinette, which can easily be converted into a double bed.
The wet cell is equipped with an electric toilet and a pleasant shower. In 2022, among other things, the electrical system was renewed, the upholstery was partially replaced, the interior lighting was converted to LED, and the old radio was replaced with a Fusion bluetooth radio.

We have mainly sailed the Rose at sea. Over the past year, we have docked her in four different countries: England, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. Altogether, we have traveled about 2000 miles. We have experienced her as an extraordinarily comfortable and safe ship.
In choppy seas, she is at her best: steady and fast! On inland waters, in the small space, she was easy to handle with bow and stern thrusters and two engines!
