Kuleana" is a beautiful representation of a Beneteau 42 Center Cockpit; she's well appointed and has been nicely taken care of by her owners. Beneteau’s center-cockpit models are generally designed as a home away from home for two to four people, and the 42 CC’s high-volume hull has plenty of space. Performance under sail is very stable, she is a big, comfortable boat, and is easily handled by a small crew.
Like all Beneteau's, the interior of the 42 CC incorporates crafted cherry stained cabinetry and joinery. The center cockpit layout allows for two private cabins with private heads. The forepeak has wide berth, ample storage and private head with shower. The luxurious master suite is equipped with a centerline berth, flanking settees for lounging and a built-in dressing table and a separate shower stall. The main salon has a large seating and dining area on the starboard side with the navigation station opposite on the port side. Amidships, along the port side is the galley. Beautiful, warm woods complimented by white laminates are well expressed within the European styling. Separate air-conditioning systems control the forward cabin separate of the owners stateroom.
One of our favorite designs is the sliding section in the aft deck which conceals a staircase leading to a boarding platform on the drop down transom. While underway, the transom/boarding platform pulls up shut to form the classic transom. Next to the innovative boarding platform, one of the most awesome features of the 42 CC is the amount of storage. You will be amazed at the size of her ample aft deck lockers, big enough to stow all your gear, sails and more.
On deck, the hard dodger with opening windows provides protection to the spacious center cockpit. Standard bulkhead steering opens up the cockpit making it easy to entertain and maneuver about. The aft deck is big enough to accommodate several lounge chairs and perfect for relaxing while at anchor. This vessel is perfect to explore the Hawaiian waters and beyond.
