The Vanquish is a design by Doug Zurn who has drawn the MJM series of performance yachts as well as the Shelter Island 38 owned and built by Billy Joel. For those who want the charm and classic good looks of a wooden boat, but want a fiberglass hull, the Vanquish 24 was designed to offer the best of both worlds. The Vanquish 24 has been lift kept since new and stored in covered boat sheds. The boat has never received bottom paint. Her brightwork is fine and the cockpit cushions were new in 2019 ($3,500). There is a custom Sunbrella mooring cover as well as a tan bimini top and connector to the windshield.

Power comes from a 6.2-liter MerCruiser V-8 rated at 320 horsepower. Hours are low at only 320. The engine has closed-loop or fresh-water cooling. And the cooling system has been fitted with a fresh-water flush fitting. The Vanquish 24 Runabout is a head turner in any harbor. Her sweet lines make her a standout. The medium green hull, gold pin striping, tan canvas and new cockpit cushions combine to make a very striking classic. Her Zurn underbody design provides excellent handling with a 16-degree deadrise aft, 24-degrees at the midships and 56-degrees at the entry. A prop pocket reduces draft to only 22 inches and provides for a more level prop shaft angle for better efficiency. The Vanquish 24 handles chop and boat wakes with ease and corners exceptionally well.

The base price for a 2024 Century 26 Dual Console is $214,400. While this is a different deck layout, it is the identical hull by Doug Zurn. You can enjoy this fine and well maintained 2004 Vanquish 24 for less than half of the new model. She is ready to be enjoyed by the new owner. 

The cockpit is well laid out with comfortable seating for owners and passengers. The captain and mate seats provide good comfort and support.  There is a cushion over the engine box for more seating and a great place to lay out a luncheon or cocktail buffet. Aft is a full-width stern seat with seating for three with a removable teak cocktail table. All of the cushions were recently replaced with high quality material. There is storage under the stern seat. The wrap around windshield is framed in polished stainless steel and has a opening panel for good ventilation. The bench seat on the engine box is shaded by the bimini. In summary, the Vanquish 24 is perfect for cruising and entertaining.
