This Shearwater is in pristine condition and maintained to exceptional high standards by the current owner with meticulous attention to detail. She was completely overhauled in 2010 when she was in Buenos Aires. Built in Cape Town and launched in 2005, she has a proven track record for ocean crossing and is an extremely comfortable boat at sea with an extensive list of equipment onboard.
A very easy boat to sail with a fully battened Dacron (new in 2024) Mainsail stowed in a Stack Pack on the boom when lowered. Both Genoa and Staysail on Roller Furlers and very easy to furl/unfurl and trim with the use of Electric Primary winches. Sail wardrobe is completed with an Asymetrical Spinnaker.
She is easily steered by Raymarine Autopilot with Gyro Compass making those long passages a dream.
