The hull of the Hylas 46 is completely hand laid solid fiberglass with 8 longitudinal stringers tied to each frame and bulkhead providing an unusually strong seamless monolithic structure in excess of A.B.S. standards. There are watertight bulkheads fore and aft. The keel is externally bolted lead using 12 solid stainless steel 1 3/8" bolts with backing plates.
