D&R Boats – Used Boat Inspection & Reconditioning Process

At D&R Boats, every used boat goes through a comprehensive inspection and reconditioning process to ensure top quality, reliability, and value for our customers.

Each engine is connected to diagnostic software to check for active or stored codes, followed by a compression test and a full evaluation of its condition. We do not list any boat for sale with engine running issues—if any problems are found, they are fully repaired at our in-house service center by OEM-certified technicians using genuine OEM parts.

Beyond mechanical performance, we assess the boat’s overall condition, including the hull, fiberglass, and canvas. Moisture readings are taken throughout the hull and transom to confirm structural integrity. If the boat has previously been bottom painted, it receives a fresh coat.

Every boat also receives a full professional detail, including scratch removal, compounding, and buffing of the hull to restore its finish. Required services are completed before the boat is listed, so buyers can shop with confidence knowing that each used boat has been thoroughly inspected, repaired if needed, and properly maintained.
