For Nautor Swan, the number 48 carries a special significance. One of the most legendary Swans ever built was launched in 1971 under this number — the iconic Swan 48. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens of New York, the most renowned yacht designers of their time and among the greatest of all time, this remarkable yacht triumphedin some of the world’s most prestigious offshore races, including the Bermuda Race and the Transatlantic Race, and earned selection for the Admiral’s Cup – the “Formula One” of sailing in that era.
Yet racing was never her sole purpose. Like every Swan, she was created to be the ideal family cruiser — capable of safely and comfortably sailing around the world. Sierra is a Swan 48 MkII, the latest generation of this model designed by Germán Frers, once again embodying the perfect blend of performance, comfort at sea, and exceptional liveability both on deck and below.
Sierra is a superb example of this latest design. Set up for effortless handling by a one-person watch, she is exceptionally well-balanced and optimized to deliver maximum performance when heeling at 20 degrees — all while remaining comfortable and fully liveable in any sea conditions. In short, she is the perfect family yacht.
Since her delivery, has been meticulously maintained, returning regularly to the shipyard to remain under Nautor’s expert care whenever not in use. As a result, she is truly in “as new” condition. Sierra is available immediately —ready to welcome her new owners and their guests aboard.
