An elegant classic - but although she dates back to 1977, Cherubini 44 Cutter METEOR is every bit a modern and capable bluewater cruising yacht and very easy on the eye. From both a systems and cosmetics point of view, every aspect of this yacht has been attended to in recent years, with the owners adopting a no compromise approach.
RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Solid, no-core, laminated high-strength, vinyl ester-impregnated fiberglass.
- Awlgrip Flag Blue hull (2017), teal boot stripe, off-white cabin (2021) and cockpit.
- Teak laid decks.
- All bronze thru-hull fittings and valves.
- Solid mahogany bowsprit (2021).
- Polished stainless-steel whisker stays plates, heel, gammon and cranse iron.
- Stainless-steel stern rails, stanchions, double lifelines.
- Varnished teak brightwork.
- Elevating hydraulic custom cockpit for extensive engine room access.
- Antifoulant Micron 350 (2024 - good for 2-year period)
Keel & Rudder:
- Modified, full-length, shoal draft Scheel keel.
- Integrated rudder with cast-bronze heel casting.
- All-lead ballast.
