MARIE BLUE is Nautor Swan 60 #3. She was built by Nautor Swan in Finland and delivered new in 1995. Since 2003, she has been in her current ownership. The owner and his family have enjoyed her hugely sailing the Mediterranean, USA and Caribbean. MARIE BLUE features an aft access to the aft cabin. Nautor Swan typical hand rubbed teak interior finish. Accommodation with owner double cabin aft, midships saloon, galley and chart table, and three further cabins forward she has plenty of space. This layout makes her suitable for private or crewed sailing. Aft helm cockpit with single wheel and a well-protected central guest cockpit. Major updates have been made – including changed teak decking, replaced rod rigging and modernised navigation equipment.
RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Hull is of single skin construction using glass/aramid hybrid fibre reinforced polyester laminate.
- Structural bulkheads of marine plywood laminated to the hull and deck with foam strips in between.
- Engine beds of GRP.
- Hull colour gelcoat NGA 9650H White; Coaming, Cove and Boot-stripes light blue.
- Mast stepped through deck onto composite mast step.
- Sea cocks of bronze for all through-hull connections below waterline, finished flush with outside.
- Hull and appendices antifouling Micron Extra – 2018.
- Teak on side decks, coamings, coach roof, cockpits and bridge (12mm) – New in 2010.
- Teak toe rail bolted through hull/deck joint.
Keel & Rudder:
- Standard keel - lead casting with antimony.
- Mast keel stepped through deck onto composite mast step.
- Rudder foam filled GRP with tapered rudderstock of e-glass composite.
- JP3 rudder bearings - new 2019.
