From 1998/9, MAGICAL is a superb example of the Nautor Swan 56 by Frers. A rare find, she is a one-owner yacht built to an exacting specification for an ex-Olympic sailor and has enjoyed fastidious, detailed maintenance throughout her life. She features the preferred centreline aft-cabin layout and an impeccable interior – MAGICAL is clearly a well-loved member of a very keen sailing family, and it shows throughout. The rig and boom are seamless white-painted carbon by Hall Spars, fitted in 2009 and checked and serviced annually, with the most recent out-of-yacht inspection in 2024. The yacht has been maintained to comply with MCA Cat 2 since new, not for commercial reasons but purely to ensure safe and reliable sailing for family and friends. She has been professionally laid up and wintered ashore each year under full cover.
RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”.
She has been IRC & ORC rated.
Built to DoT MCA Code 0 and maintained to comply with MCA CAT 2 requiring annual inspection and 5 yearly out of the water survey currently in date.
