Grand Soleil 50, JUNIPER, is in gleaming condition. Now in her second ownership, she has been extensively updated, including new standing rigging, a solar array installation, a new downwind sail, and many other improvements. She sailed to the Caribbean with the ARC in 2024 before being shipped back to the UK for a service period, which included the fitting of new house batteries this summer. She offers fast, powerful, and comfortable passage-making with updated systems. Her Judel/Vrolijk lines are outstanding, and she is among the very last of her kind to be launched. Originally built for a highly experienced yacht owner, her current ownership has continued this meticulous care.
RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate)
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Deck, coach roof and cockpit sole have teak laid decks – Borocol treated.
- Stripes on hull and coach roof in silver metallic.
- Hull windows port and starboard – nonstandard.
- 3 x Coats of epoxy on underwater profile - Navy antifouling – Micron 350 (July 2025).
