Rugged and capable multihull fabricated from aluminium with masses of deck space including a generous cockpit for toys and an enormous flybridge. Easy cutter rigged sail plan. Below, the main saloon is vast and she has 4 double cabins which are all en-suite, plus 2 crew cabins. She has been cruising successfully and managing bluewater without fuss from build, and she is now ready for more adventures as her current owners step back. Not fragile or difficult to operate, she is a multihull which will take you places.
RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Hulls and superstructure are constructed entirely of 5083 H111 aluminium alloy (plating and frames).
- Hull plating is welded inside and out using the MIG process, with all welds inspected by dye penetrant testing.
- Thermal and acoustic insulation above the waterline using spray-applied polyurethane foam (hulls and deck). Enhanced insulation of the engine compartments and generator compartment: rock wool plus machine and acoustic insulation foam, with perforated aluminium protective panels.
- Stringers, frames, and floors are welded in alternating sequence.
- Welds on non-visible, uncoated surfaces are left as-welded to enhance structural integrity, particularly in areas under the nacelle subject to slamming.
- 1 x watertight bulkhead between engine room and accommodation.
- 1 x collision bulkhead between crew cabins and passenger cabins.
- Watertight bulkheads are welded continuously on both sides.
- Integrated fuel and water tanks.
- Awlgrip finish.
- Below waterline epoxy + antifouling treatment - Sanding, degreasing, etching, 3 to 4 coats of epoxy primer. 1 coat of vinyl epoxy. 2 coats of antifouling.
- Above waterline (topsides) epoxy primer treatment - Sanding, degreasing, etching. 1 coat of epoxy primer. Application of epoxy fairing compound. 1 coat of polyurethane undercoat. 3 coats of polyester urethane finish.
- Deck areas, on exposed parts and traffic zones, receive epoxy paint with non-slip additive.
- Aft cockpit, flybridge, transoms, and steps - 8mm teak.
Keel & Rudder:
