Ker 52, FAST EXIT II is truly exceptional. Originally VARUNA and TONNERRE, she was designed as a turbocharged TP52 with a taller rig and lighter displacement, unrestricted by the TP52 box rule. Under her current ownership, she has been meticulously optimized with an open chequebook for the Transpac and offshore downwind races. A new bow shape by Jason Ker has transformed her performance, making her one of the fastest 52-ft yachts around. With a huge inventory and an impressive selection of fresh sails, this is a meticulously maintained yacht, cared for by a fastidious and passionate owner.
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Carbon fibre construction (combination of carbon/epoxy/Nomex and carbon/epoxy/foam).
- Extended the carbon fibre bowsprit 2.5-ft to 11.5-ft to enhance VMG off-wind sailing.
- New bottom hard-epoxy paint job (January 2023).
Keel & Rudder:
- New rudder designed to latest hydrodynamic foil shapes by Ker Yacht Design (2017).
- Keel fin with kelp cutter and 15% larger cord length to improve upwind sailing.
